The Process Engineer will oversee process development and optimization within the Cleveland, TX facility. The Process Engineer will report to Chief Operating Officer.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project planning and monitoring of small to large investment projects
  • Assessment of unit operations against best suitable technology, energy, cost, performance
  • Design entire processes with input from revenue team
  • Technical leadership in plant projects as interface between revenue team and operations
  • Compose transfer protocols to production & maintenance including start-up/shutdown process, P&IDs, process risk assessments, recommended reliability PMs and any safety equipment
  • Provide support during commissioning of new equipment
  • Provide technical support during incident investigations

Required Skills

  • Experience in process development, scaling from lab to commercial scale
  • Preferably knowledge about specialty chemical production processes
  • Sound knowledge in state-of-the-art process technology
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies within TCEQ
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in chemical or industrial engineering
  • Recent Graduate/1 year of experience in Chemical Manufacturing/Plant
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Mini-Tab or python
  • Must be a self-starter and able to make fast and accurate decisions
  • Project Management and/or Production/Maintenance Management experience required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple, concurrent tasks effectively
